Our Story

Rights & Equality Sandwell (RES) was founded on 1st April 2003, originally established as Race Equality Sandwell. Born from the need to support the implementation of the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000, RES has grown into a trusted advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Today, RES works hand-in-hand with communities and strategic partners across Sandwell to provide guidance, support, and a voice for those who face discrimination or exclusion. Through collaborative initiatives, we address issues such as hate crimes, systemic inequalities, and access to essential services, ensuring every individual can thrive in a fair and inclusive society.
